that引导的是idea的同位语从句,其中包含比较结构more...than….。主句的谓语动词是rests。of the established...news media作宾语an understanding的后置定语。短语rest on此处意为“建立在...的基础上;基于"。需要注意的是,rest on sth.作此意讲时不用于被动语态。
